Introduction
In light of increasing environmental protection requirements and the need for resource efficiency, internal recycling is becoming a key component of modern waste management strategies in the plastics industry. At our production plant, we implement an advanced internal recycling process that involves recovering and reusing materials from defective film products that do not meet quality standards.
Internal Recycling Process
Defective film products that fail to meet quality standards are carefully sorted by color and material composition in our facility. These materials are then processed using a YDN-65 single-screw regranulation line. This process involves mechanical shredding of defective products, their plasticization, and granulation into high-quality reprocessed pellets. The resulting pellets are subsequently reintroduced into the extrusion process, where they become a key material component in the production of new plastic bags.
Environmental and Economic Benefits
Internal recycling offers numerous benefits for both the environment and the production process itself. By reusing raw materials, the demand for virgin plastics is reduced, which decreases oil consumption and lowers the carbon footprint associated with manufacturing new material. Furthermore, the regranulate produced through internal recycling exhibits mechanical properties comparable to virgin material, allowing for effective use in subsequent production batches.
It is important to emphasize that defective film products processed through internal recycling should not be classified as waste. According to existing regulations and definitions, such products retain their material value and serve as a valuable secondary raw material. Internal recycling thus enables efficient resource management, minimizing material losses and disposal costs.
