Why Print Your Logo on a Plastic Bag?
Printed plastic bags serve more than just packaging purposes. They act as:
- brand carriers – your logo is visible with every use,
- product identification tools – crucial in food, medical, and industrial sectors,
- communication mediums – space for instructions, certifications, pictograms, or QR codes.
Personalized packaging is increasingly expected by customers. Printing is a straightforward way to stand out and enhance brand recognition.
Printing Technology – Flexographic Printing, Standard Inline
At Uniplast, we exclusively use flexographic printing, performed inline, ensuring a swift and efficient process without additional film processing. This technology allows for precise reproduction of even the finest graphic elements.
We offer two types of printing:
- continuous (wallpaper) printing – repeating across the entire length of the film or bag,
- registered printing – placed precisely at a specific location, e.g., on the front of the bag.
What Do We Print On?
We print on plastic bags made from:
- LDPE and HDPE films, in the form of sleeves, half-sleeves, or tapes,
- bags with perforation – typically 4 holes with a diameter of 10 mm,
- embossed bags – enhancing durability and usability,
- bottom-sealed bags – our standard production.
Printing is available on transparent, milky, colored, or black films. The choice of film affects the contrast and aesthetics of the print – we provide guidance to select the best option for your application.
Types of Inks – Water-Based as Standard, Solvent-Based Upon Request
We typically use water-based inks, which are environmentally friendly and meet standards required in industries like food packaging.
Upon request, we can use solvent-based inks, especially recommended where greater print durability is needed.
Print Durability – Longevity Matters
Depending on the type of ink used, prints on film exhibit varying resistance:
- water-based inks offer durability under normal usage and storage conditions,
- solvent-based inks are better suited for demanding environments – e.g., exposure to alcohol, certain chemicals, and mechanical abrasion.
If the print is expected to endure intensive rubbing or chemical exposure, we recommend prior consultation. We'll select the best technological solution.
How to Prepare a Print Design?
For optimal results:
- provide the design in a vector file (PDF, CDR, AI),
- avoid excessively thin lines and small fonts – they may be illegible on film,
- ensure appropriate contrast relative to the film color.
We offer assistance in preparing the design and provide a visualization before production upon request.
Order Process
1. We receive your design or logo.
2. We verify technical possibilities and prepare a visualization.
3. Upon approval – we commence production.
Lead times typically range from a few days to 2–3 weeks, depending on the order specifics.
